2015 - PhD Chemistry, Georgia Institute of Technology
2009 - BS Chemistry, Louisiana State University
Dr Jones is currently a National Research Council postdoctoral associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States, where she applies ambient mass spectrometry-based surface sampling analysis for emerging contaminant exposure in marine mammals. Before joining NIST, she received her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr Jones developed an ambient mass spectrometry sampling and analysis method for metabolomics research in addition to using traditional chromatographic-based methods for onco- and ecometabolomics applications during her graduate studies. Her work has been featured on the cover of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. During her undergraduate study, she conducted research focused on micellar electrokinetic chromatographic separation of chiral drugs. Dr Jones has presented her research at numerous national conferences and has published in impactful scientific journals. She is a member of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry. Dr Jones joined Edanz Group as an editor in 2015.
