At the request of Gifu University, Edanz Group delivered two introductory-level writing workshops to graduates and early-career researchers to enhance their skills and confidence in writing for peer-reviewed journals.

On 20-23 April 2016, Edanz delivered three one-day research communication workshops to early-career researchers at the Universidad de los Andes (UniAndes), Bogota, Colombia.

Edanz Group was invited to make a second visit to the medical campus of Gunma University, Japan, on 26-27 March 2016 as a follow-up of an Edanz seminar on making presentations that was given earlier in the year. During this visit, Dr Trevor Lane and Dr Julian Tang held an interactive workshop on medical research reporting for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

On 8-9 March 2016, Dr Andrew Jackson and Mr Alan Purvis led two one-day manuscript writing workshops for engineering postgraduate students at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

On 6 March 2016, Dr Trevor Lane and Dr Julian Tang led a half-day advanced writing workshop in life, medical, and social sciences at Ryuku University, Okinawa, Japan.

Edanz Group delivered a two-day advanced science writing workshop at Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan, on 1-2 March 2016. Dr Trevor Lane and Dr Kate Harris, who have both previously worked for international peer-reviewed science journals, shared their knowledge with two groups of 30 researchers each and used class writing activities to consolidate knowledge gained from the slide presentations.
