Edanz is looking for a digital marketer to devise and execute digital marketing campaigns for the Japanese market.


Devise and execute digital marketing campaigns for Japanese market

Key responsibilities

  • Top level
    • Own (champion!) all digital marketing and communications delivery across web, email and social media channels
    • Devise digital marketing strategy to meet short-long term growth goals
    • Provide thought leadership on existing and emerging technologies and strategies
  • Execute campaigns
  • Control and monitor a suite of digital marketing reports and capabilities (including SEM, SEO, Chat, traffic)
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer service teams
  • Budget, cost control, ROI reporting

Ideal experience

  • Digital marketing experience in a relevant or related industry (especially academic)
  • Track record of integrating brand, marketing and communications strategies
  • Experience working with outsource service providers


  • Native Japanese and business level English
  • Will consider non-native Japanese if experienced
  • Self-starter and team player

Key metrics:

  • Site traffic and sources
  • New clients
  • Sales by channel
  • Conversion rates
  • Segment and channel ROI


  • Ideally Fukuoka-based, or home-based in Japan (with regular Fukuoka office time)
