We have learned from our 15 years of editing experience that one round of editing is often not sufficient for manuscripts to reach an English level that will be acceptable to peer reviewers and journal editors. That is why the Edanz service has two rounds of editing. These two rounds are included in our standard fees. A second round of editing might be needed because of places where the editor could not understand the author's intended meaning. In these cases, our editor will leave a comment or suggestion to the author during the first round of editing, the author should then reply to these comments and return the manuscript for a '2nd Edit'.
