Dr Huxley obtained both her undergraduate and graduate qualifications from Oxford University in Physiological Sciences and Epidemiology, respectively. In 2002 she was appointed as a Senior Research Fellow at the George Institute at the University of Sydney, Australia. In 2007, Dr Huxley was appointed Conjoint Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney and Director of the Nutrition and Lifestyle Division within the George Institute. Over the past 10 years, she has published more than 90 research articles, many in high impact journals including The Lancet, British Medical Journal, Circulation and JAMA and is a regular invited speaker at international conferences. Dr Huxley has also been the recipient of several prestigious research awards and fellowships. Dr Huxley began work as a writer, editor and consultant with the Edanz Group in 2010.
