Ms. Hodgson has been a systems programmer and analyst since 1974; and has worked as a business analyst and information technology consultant for software applications. From 1991 she worked with Fujitsu New Zealand and from 2002 was the Manager of Software Application Services for Fujitsu. Her writing experience includes business cases, reports, business user requirements, test plans and training material. As well she completed ‘Professional writing and editing’ Graduate Diploma in Information Design at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology) in 2005. Ms Hodgson began working with Edanz Editing as an IT editor in 2006.
