FAQs

FAQs

Q1: Do you edit references?
Edanz does not edit references unless specifically requested by the author. However, while a manuscript will be edited for compliance with the correct format, Edanz editors will not alter the actual format between, for example, Harvard and Vancouver styles if the author has used the wrong one. However, the error will be pointed out for the author to fix. Reference library software makes this an easy job for the author. Edanz does not edit citations or references generated by reference management software such as EndNote because any changes would be overwritten if the citations or references are regenerated later.

Q2: How do I place an order?
You can place an order by completing the online order form and uploading your file/s. If you experience difficulties completing the form, an email with your file/s attached can be sent to (). Further guidance can be obtained by phoning one of our offices (Hong Kong: +852-8127-7515, Japan: +81-92-715-7208, China: +86-10-6528-0877) and speaking with an Edanz staff member.

Q4: Should I include large graphics within my document?

Q6: Do you guarantee the quality of your editing?
Edanz guarantees the editing quality of the work done by our editors. Should you have any concerns about the quality of the edited manuscript we have returned to you, please contact us by email address. We will review the work we have done and respond to you about the issues you raise. The English language editing our editors do will always improve the chances of your manuscript being accepted for publication. However, peer reviewers will often make negative comments about the English used in a paper, even after it has been edited by Edanz. Often, the comments will reflect a particular bias of the reviewer about how they think something should be written. This is especially so when a reviewer understands the author is not a native speaker of English. If your manuscript has not been altered after our editing, and is rejected based only or mainly on its English, we will reedit your manuscript for free at the time it is revised for resubmission
Furthermore, if we are unable to edit the manuscript to your satisfaction after it has been through 1st and 2nd edits of our two edit cycle, we will not charge you or we will refund any fee already paid.

Q7: Do you guarantee publication of my research after editing?
The English language editing our editors do will always improve the chances of your manuscript being accepted for publication,. However, we cannot edit the research content of your manuscript; this is something for peer reviewers to comment on. Therefore, while we cannot make any guarantees regarding the publication of your research, we can guarantee to get your manuscript into the best possible form for submission to a journal for peer review.
