Edanz Group Scientific Director Dr. Daniel McGowan and China Director Benjamin Shaw attended The Symposium on Anatomical Record's Call for Manuscripts.
The symposium, held at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China was organized by AR Associate Editor, Dr. Li Jicheng. Dr. McGowan gave a presentation which began with a short section on why scientists and clinicians need to publish their findings and then proceeded to focus on the small details that can help bring a draft manuscript to publication. There were sections on article structure, specifically, what journal editors expect from each section of a manuscript, language, describing some common errors of non-native English-speaking authors, and ethics, describing authors' responsibilities to the scientific community. After the talk, Dr. McGowan and Mr. Shaw worked with many of the attending authors to improve the language of the manuscripts they planned on submitting to AR.
